Swimmer One

Luxury Car
Luxury Car are technically, an electronic pop duo; however they don’t sound remotely like the Pet Shop Boys, Soft Cell, Sparks, Erasure, or Goldfrapp. They are not industrial, or camp, or ironic, or minimalist, or Goths, or obsessed with sadomasochistic sex. Where much electronic pop music is cold, stark and hard, Luxury Car prefer warmth and poetry.
Seafieldroad
Seafieldroad is a Swimmer One side project. Andrew plays piano and sings. Laura sings too and co-wrote some of the songs. Hamish is producing it and adding little electronic noises here and there. There will be two albums and an EP, with more to follow, possibly, if people like it. In its lo-fi way, Seafieldroad’s debut album will aim to emulate the spirit of some of the records that were early inspirations for Andrew - in particular Jane Siberry’s first album, Winterland by Emma Townshend, 60 Watt Silver Lining by Mark Eitzel, The Poison Boyfriend by Momus, and Secrets of the Beehive by David Sylvian.
